Hot Side Boost Tube

This looks to be an inexpensive mod that I could install on my own. I've read some info and saw a YouTube video or two. Is this mod worth it? Is this something that's only beneficial if I have a tune and other mods? In my search I really couldn't find much. The manufacturers praise the mod of course. Just looking for some advise as to whether its worth it or does it just make more turbo noise?

Thanks for the quick response. I actually did come across that post. It created more questions for me after i read it. So basically, its for looks, if you get a nice looking tube? It seems
like a popular mod, just not sure why if it has no effect on anything. I guess I don't want to remove or replace something if the new part doesn't fix or improve anything. Am I correct with this?

I know there are guys running some aggressive tunes pushing 20psi and they still have the stock tubes one. So would they get more power without them? Maybe, but I don't think it would amount to much, if anything.

I don't really know what the purpose of it is. Being that its called a 'muffler' I would think its reduce noise. But like I said in the other post, I didn't notice any perceivable noise increase. Maybe its noticeable at highway speeds? With all the other windnoise the R56 has I can't imagine hearing something from the hotside tube...
