Hi am replacing clutch in my r50 2002 cooper. Using engine support beam for first time on mini and wonder where the engine support points for the chains are located.

Per the Mini factory manual, the support beam attachment points are the upper engine mount on the passenger side and a very small screw on the driver's side of the cylinder head that holds a coolant pipe in place. In reality, you can support the engine from underneath with a block of wood and a jack under the oil pan.

Thanks think I'll go with the tried and tested jack and block of wood. Doesnt fill me with confidence being under the car car supported by "the small screw"
