Downpipe gasket installation

I'm installing my downpipe and it seems that the gasket is not the same on both sides. Does it matter which side goes toward the turbo?

the upper turbo side is directional. I forget what direction. Look on the turbo, it should have left an impression in the metal

There in lies the rub. When I had tried out a catless dp in December I replaced the gasket and didn't pay attention so I might of had it reversed. Now that I'm installing a high-flow cat I just wanted to make sure that I have it installed correctly.

I just looked at the Bentley manual, it doesn't mention anything about the direction of the gasket, it just says to use new ones.

Hmm... I used the same gasket and had no issues. I think. I let my motor cool down for about 6 hrs. The gasket stayed on the studs. I lined the new DP up to the studs, ensured that the Gasket stayed flushed and reinstalled. '

I don't think I have a leak, should I have replaced it,

If you had a leak, you'd know it. Your OK.
