Will it work

Hi I have tried to search this and turned up nothing so forgive me is someone has already posted this.

1) I plan on getting a RMW cam and either 450 or 550 cc injectors soon. With the mods I already have (in my sig) plus the cam and injectors will the car be drivable without a tune.

2) Does anyone have any exsperiance with a WMW quick tune. I know that it is not programmed to be a big hp tune but will it be a noticeable gain with the mods listed in my sig and a cam and injectors.

Thank you

1.) the car will not be driveable with the injectors in.

The Car will run on the stock injectors with the cam

2.) the WMW tune im sure will adjust for the new injectors, i havent personally used it, i have bytronik tuning and have yet to use it, since i dont have time to install my new parts

also the tune will wake up all the mods and you will see a noticable gain form the tune

If you're looking to get RMW parts and tune, just call Jan. He will answer your questions and he knows his parts better than anybody.

Depending on where you are and where you get everything installed you can have him flash the ecu to make it run right until you can setup a time to get on a dyno for a full custom tune. Depending on the cam it may run ok without a tune. You don't want to beat on it until you get tuned though. Will run super rich with the bigger injectors without a tune. You may only need 450s, how much power do you plan to make?

Thanks for the replies. I am in louisiana and to far to drive to Cali. I would love to have a custom tune but gettining the wife to agree to the parts and then another $600+ for just the tune is not happening lol. So I was looking at the quick tune from way motor works for $255. I would be happy if I could get to around 220whp or so but the reason I wanted to go with the 550cc injectors is incase later on down the road I wanted to go bigger power It's just one less thing to have to upgrade. Especially since thay are the same price.

you can get the 380cc injectors and the JCW tune, for now, then when down the road when you can do the custom tune and the 450cc or 550cc injectors go for it

the ecu wil adapt the RMW street cam no issues, with a custom tune it will work better

the stock 330cc injectors may start to run out of steam at higher RPM, but im sure the 380's which dont even need the JCW tune will work better

the 380cc injectors can be adapted with the stock ecu, or can have the JCW tune loaded in

but running 450cc or 550cc the car will NOT run right, it NEEDS a tune

The only reason I didn't want to do the 380 is there about $100 more than the 440 and 550's and later on if I decide to do more power I'll have to change them out again.

Honestly, I would wait until you can get the whole thing done at once. I waited 6 years to get a cam and tune.

Jan does tuning parties around the country, there's a possibility he may do one near you. Seriously, just call Jan. He will tell you what you need for what you want. It is seriously worth doing, no it's not cheap.

The next best advice is to get your motor perfect. Fix any leaks or worn parts, the healthier the motor the better.
