though it is "corrected wheel hp" so I guess its pretty good. of course we will be skeptical until we see a dyno from an independent source. that is just human nature. looks like a very nice exhaust for sure.

So as I said before just to clarify for everyone at this point...

we are going to get an exhuast...(we being a buddy of mine)...we have to pay the big expence to get one and do all the tests but skunk2 then gave us a price of $640.00 per exhaust if we get a group buy of 12...

as for #s for those of you who aren't sure about reading the Dyno....

10 hp was most common gain 13 hp being the highest....

now, Like all of you I wanna know what the results are...SO, that's why we are buying the first system...so we canfind out for our selves...

unfortunatley if we can't get 12 then I dunno what we'll do for those interested other than ask the Skunk what price we get for X systems....heh heh....all in all no biggie to me just don't want anyone to be disappointed

Tuls

are you connected with Skunk2 in any way? why have you decided to purchase this particular exhaust? and as far as being with the other exhausts at 10hp, I haven't see any that high in independent testing. Magnaflow is known to be at the top and that only showed about 6 hp from an independent source. Maybe that was wheel hp which i think it was, which would equate to a little more in flywheel hp but not much.

Either way I look forward to your testing. I am not trying to give you a hard time at all though it may sound like it. This is a good thing. A new MCS exhaust. I'm now waiting for results from this and the RSpeed exhaust before making my purchase.

S2 exhaust is in, with HP racing header

I decided to break down and buy an HP header to add to my skunk2 cat-back, although I was going to spend more on a jackson racing header, I opted not to because I'm going to turbocharge soon. But meanwhile I will say that the fit & finish of the skunk exhaust is awesome, everything fit like stock, including the header. The only complaint I have is the twin 3" tips do not line up 100% perfect, one sits about 1/8" too short, but its very hard to notice.

I have unfortunately not been able to dyno before and after, but when I do, I suppose you could compare my results to someone who has intake, AMD 1-click and 15% pulley. These are my mods prior to the exhaust. My butt-dyno says It feels the same on the bottom end much stronger in the midrange though, and the top end is slightly stronger.

The sound? LOUD, maybe too loud for some, but it really roars, if you like the raspy snap crackle and pop sounds of an original 1970's mini cooper race car. The nice thing is that its only loud when you really romp on it, and the vibrations are not bad at all, no rattles, no annoying drone on the highway either. I definitely reccommend this exhaust as a cat back, it sounds as good if not better than the throaty Magnaflow. As for the full no-cat header, its not for everyone if using this exhaust. Stay tuned for pictures and hopefully a full dyno sheet.

Hey there, I take nothin as a hard time...I always appreciate a good solid post!

(before I **** anyone off...everyone should know that I love borla and AC schnitzer, etc etc, I have been tuning cars for fun my own and my friends since I got my hand on a wrench...I love it! ok on with the post!)

No I am not connected with SKunk2...it was just hte newest one on the scene and I had an in due to a friend of mine...he slacked off a bit so I chose to take it on myself ....if you want it done right ...blah blah.....

the other reason I am lookin at the Skunk system...is if you look at it it is so smooth ...just to look at...I mean all the other systems have HARD 90 degree angles and a "square" design....I love the smooth sweeping lines of the Skunk system...the hardest turn is right at the end...but the only way to do anything better is to run it straight out the back...from the header...and well I'll save that for my race car...heh heh

As far as your questions about HP and stuff like that...we'll know soon enough...to be honest I am not that concerned cause it's not the exhuast that is going to make or break the total HP of my car...I mean if you make 6 hp or 8...you are not going to know when you are racing..it's not going to effect your time aroudn the track...and if it is a street thing...it's not going to help you get a car lenth on some one...it's 2 hp...heh heh

so in the end I am lookin for a quality product that sounds nice...and from MassMiniac's post it sounds to me like it's right up My alley...hopfully we can get a sounds clip from him

Skunk2 exhaust sound clip

Hey guys, seems like everyone wants to hear the skunk2 exhaust and I'd love to post a sound clip on here, but I've never done such a thing, so how do I record a sound clip and post it on here!? Help me out and I'll see what I can do to get it done! Thanks

It will be good to hear a sound clip, but I think the header will make it considerably louder than the catback alone. If anybody installs just the catback please post a soundclip. Thanks!

Also, there just didn't seem to be enough interest in it for the 12 systems so we cannot recive the discount with out it...I'll let everyone know if things change

Aren't those HP/Torque lines supposed to cross at 5250? Why are they crossing at ~4750?
