I think it has to do with "Johnny B" slagging them about the car all being about marketing etc. Not a great way to impress your sponsor.

Artist???? He could not draw a spiderweb. My 4yo can draw a spider web. Should I put him on TV?

Read the thread. No, I sold them. I autocross and track my car all the time so 18" "Bling Bling" wheels are a waste for me. So that went into the "make the car faster and handle better" budget. LOL

Plus how well do you think 18" Runflats will run? They were like tires made out of concrete!

ninjamini,

You are exactly correct about that guys art skills. I was referring to his mindset.

In fact on that show it appeared that he did NO artwork. The guy at the graphics station with the big vinyl printer was hired to do the graphics while that yo-yo sat there spewing some BS about how it all reached the depth of his soul or something like that.

They could improve that show by an order of magnitude if they got that "cosmetis" goofball off the show and worked more on performance, leaving the look of the car to the taste of the owner.

What is even more funny is that Graphic Mart will begin offering the spider web commercially for Mini owners. This is due to the overwhelming positive response that they received on this graphic.

Where are they getting there feedback from? Not from the enthusiasts.

I expect that the "overwhelming demand" is coming from their imagination for marketing reasons. Once such graphics are developed, they simply reside in a file on their servers hard drive. If someone wants to purchase it, they simply print out a copy. The cost for "offering it" is virtually nil. They might as well make it available and see if someone will offer up some hard earned cash.
