ebc greenstuff

so brakedust has finally driven me batty, and i'm looking to get some greenstuff brakepads, which i've had previously on my a4... question is, is it alright just to get front pads for now, leaving the rears stock? also, has anyone had their dealer install these under warranty? i called westchester and mahwah mini but no one was there in the service department to take my call, leading me to impatiently post this thread.
anyone?

thanks
christina.

I guess you could do only the fronts since they do most of the braking anyway but, Why? Now the rear wheels will have brake dust and the fronts will stay relatively clean. Unless you have financial problems (and if thats the case you may want to just keep cleaning your wheels) I'd get EBC Greens front & rear.

That's exactly what I did. Worked great! The decrease in dust was amazing and the Greens do all the right things on stopping the car -- even on the Dragon

I've done that combo: EBC Green front and stock rear. You end up with slightly dustier rear wheels, not a big deal. Just be sure to bed-in your new pads correctly/carefully, especially using the same rotors.

I did the green pads in just the front. Really helps with the dust. Never had that much of a problem with the rear wheels getting too dusty. They are also pretty easy to install yourself...

I have 28K on riscci (03MCS) and was looking for a cheaper place to purchase the pad and SS brakelines? Any suggestions on where to buy???

I got my stainless lines and greenstuff pads from Outmotoring.com along with a bunch of other goodies.

Outmotoring almost always has lower prices and better customer service than any other major MINI vendor. They are located in Columbus, Ohio and I assume its much cheaper overhead costs there compared to most vendors based out of California.

Stainless braided lines are $120 at Outmotoring, $150 at Mini-Madness, and $180 at MiniMania.

If you only want front greenstuff pads, they are $80 at Outmotoring, $90 at MiniMania, and $100 at Mini-Madness. If anyone can find them cheaper anywhere else, please tell me b/c I will soon need replacements.
