Convert DoS Street Intake to Performance version?

Is it pretty straightforward to convert the DoS V2 Street Intake to Performance version? From what I can tell, all it is is a hole in the back side of the air box and a hole in the bulkhead connected by a tube.

Is there something else involved that I'm not aware of? Does anyone have any closeup photos of these portion of the intake box and the bulkhead?

Basically, yeah. Just make sure you make the tube long enough that it's not getting rainwater dropping into it. You should check out my install thread if you haven't seen it already. There's lots of pictures of the various pieces.

Thanks! Yeah I was reading through that thread again, such a great write up. Looks like it's a little more involved than just cutting two holes and connecting with a hose.

I really like the idea of the full performance version but wonder if the street version would be enough over the stock box even with an upgraded panel filter. I know the DoS cone filter comparably has a huge surface area so there's bound to get more airflow, but I wonder how much I would be sacrificing but not getting more air from the cowl.

I don't really care about the sound.
