I'm installing mine tonite. I wonder if my Akrapovic Delete-R is going to be a problem. Might remove that tonite as well.

Why not put them in now, or take ten minutes to do it in the parking lot before you hand the keys over for the tune? It's easy peasy!

Changing the plugs will take you a few minutes if you have the right sockets. You need a 12 point for the stock... although, I got mine out with a 16 6 point. You will need a 14 or 16 (depending on the plug you got) to get the the new plugs back in. Don't change them while the motor is hot... very tight clearance in there and you could temporarily get the socket stuck.

If you don't have dedicated spark plug sockets (rubber on the inside to hold the plug while pulling it out) you can just take a piece of tape and put it in the inside of the socket. That will help grap the plug when you go to pull it out.

Sorry if all this info is too trivial.

I would take that out before you show up. No need for it anymore.

They should come pre-gapped. I have the sister plug to the ones you got and they were pre-gapped. The ones you got will be tough to gap as they have very small tips on both the ground and center electrode. Just need to be extra careful.

Just to be correct the torque for the plugs is 20 nm not ft lbs. So 14.75 ft lbs.

Verdict

Makes me want more! I went with stage two with iridium plugs. I have been toying with the JB+ for a little over a week now. I had it at 100% with bad afr's till 5,000 rpm at 12:1. 13:1@ 4,000 and 14:1@ 3,000 (approx.) With this setup I was peaking just over 18.5psi, tapering to about 14 at red line. Power delivery was snappy, now its smooth and pulls all the way to red line holding 19+ psi almost all the way. Afr's are in the 11-12:1 range now from any rpm range, and the car has an obvious power/torque increase from the 100% JB+ setting. Totally worth it! I'm very pleased.

For those going tomorrow, take a snack! They have some snacks at the shop but I was there just about all day, and I was first out. The guys at RSW included us in their lunch run which was very nice. Nick was a very nice guy to talk to and did a great job answering all my questions.

Their website is correct:

228 U.S. Highway 22 West
Green Brook, New Jersey 08812

JR mentioned that the email confirmation still contained their old address...

Is their address:

228 U.S. Highway 22 West
Green Brook, New Jersey 08812

Or:

176 Jefferson Street
Washington, NJ 07882

Their confirmation email has one while their website has a newer one. Wanna make sure I'm going to the right place!
