Oil Pressure Switch Replacement

So i have again over complicated a simple project. I get an oil pressure light on idle and it goes away under acceleration; no other symptoms so it seems, from reading, that my switch is bad. I ordered one and a 27mm deep socket to be prepared, removed the heat-shield and the little red clip from the connector which i then dropped into the engine bay and now cannot find :( . Even after removing the evasive red clip pin, i cannot get the green connector off the original switch! I grab it, shake it back and forth, have even tried plying it toward the firewall with a screwdriver to no avail. Anyone have any tips or tricks? I think i am going to remove the passenger front wheel tomorrow to look for the little red clip i dropped, would it be easier to access from there? Any advise is greatly appreciated!

The red clip is a safety clip--you still need to push down the retaining tab before it will release. The tab near the wiring--push the plug into the sensor and push down on the tab, then it should be easy to pull off.Name: AM_Electric_OP_003.jpg

BTW--you don't need to remove the red keeper all the way--it's just a safety tab. When you get it all out and replace it, you will see that it will stop while on the plug but you will still be able to activate the other tab.
