How to eliminate AC

Well considering that my mini is not a daily driver, i have no use for the AC system. I would like to remove it... i know i need the AC delete idler pulley which is fine, but does any one have any tips/tricks on the best way to do this ? Also by removing the AC will it display any check engine lights/trouble code ?

I will be purchasing this

if its not your daily, does it really matter if you throw codes? im assuming youll be doing other engine mods as well... if your going to throw one code, might as well say F it and do whatever else you want regardless of codes, just let them come!

- Take the Mini to a shop.
- Get the system emptied.
- Remove anything A/C related (If you plan on re-installing it, don't bother removing the evap, just plug the tubes with plastic caps.
- Install a/c delete idler.
- Remove the pressure switch from the a/c lines and hook it back up on its connector, otherwise the fan will always be on with the car running.
- Profit????

No, it won't throw a light. I've deleted mine last year and I have no problems at all.

Have you noticed any issues with fogging on the interior of the windshield? A/C units are supposed to assist with moisture removal in such circumstances... Thanks.
