Just got my Alta 19%. I have a Alta 15% installed. Has anyone ever changed an Alta Pulley without lifting engine ?

 

Someone did it, I just don't remember who. Can the new 19% go on the 15% hub? I'm thinking of getting one if it's easy to change back and forth to try to offset the extra weight of the big brake rotors I just installed. Also if you could post what you think of 19% and if you notice any heating problems after some long spirited driving.

Thanks Rory, hope who did it will get on and tell me. I'll be trying it this weekend. Will let you know if it is an easy switch and how temps are. We're in the 90's now so I'll find out.

It was Minipilo, among others. Sounds like it is not easy, but possible.

I was on that post but didn't pay attention to the fact that he had changed what ever he had to an Alta. So it must be able to be done. (Showing my age) I'm getting a little long in the tooth.
