whats up guys,
well, summer is around the corner and i have a couple of ideas of how to beef up my mini over these couple of months. heres what i have in mind:

- Remove Mirror tints -> replace with dark (very dark) black tints
- Front & Rear Sway Bar
- Front & Rear Stress Bar
- Harder Springs
- Wheel Spacers
??(- M7 Venom Nitrous Kit)??

what dyou guys think? i want to get my car as hard and responsive as possible.
the nitrous is just an idea floating around right now...dont know how good that'll be money wise.
but i am hoping for suggestions as to what sway bars, springs etc. to use.
anybody have all of this installed? any suggestions/comments more than welcome.

thanks guys

peter

If your going to the track with your car or autox, I'd look at nothing else but H-Sport. I think they provide the best handling upgrade with matched components. If your just looking for street lowering, others might be better because they may lower the car more for a better look. Depends on what you want to do with the car. I think "Stress" bars will be a total waist of money, but may be worth it to you for the "Bling" factor. My $.02.

I'd stay away from the front sway bar and the strut braces. The front sway bar is going to put back some of the understeer that the larger bar gives you. The strut braces (Front and rear) haven't shown to be affective of anything. The MINI is stiff, very stiff and doesn't really need the extra.

Springs are fine, you might want to look at coilovers if you're getting serious and want to corner weight the car. Springs/coilovers add quite a big of negative camber so you might want to look at camber kits for the front and new control arms.

Don't do this all at once. Do it a little bit at a time and get familar with how each mod affects the others. Do the rear bar first all by itself, that in of itself is the single biggest upgrade you can make to the MINI's handling.

Cheers,

Paul

IMHO, I think that if you get the coilovers, you can actually skip the rear sway bar...I've noticed that with the sway bar at the softest setting, I'm still getting a lot of over steer, I can fix that by setting the suspention differently, but that also means you can cancel the understeer simply with coilovers,
