Anybody else's Alta make a very loud hissing sound like a faucet turned on, only louder? Reason I ask is because I believe my intake is making this hissing sound (goes away when I give it a quick burst of throttle or get in the boost) and wanted to see if you all have this as well since I've been searching for a loose vacuum hose for a couple weeks now that I thought was making this sound.

 

Well, what the hell are you doing at idle?!?!?! STEP ON IT!

 

you might check the bypasss hose vetween the bypass valve, (located on the snoot @ the intercooler exit) and connected to the blower intake.

 

jlm, my bypass valve is disconnected. I totally forgot about it, I'll hook it back up and see if that's the culprit.

 

So did that fix your problem?
