Does anyone know if MagnaFlow has tackled the battle of making their exhaust work with the '04 model yet? If not, how bad is it to run with only 50% of the hangers or how hard to fabricate something that will do the job?

 

Our local shop (pronto mufflers) installed a Borla on an '04 with out any issues with the hangers at all. They just cut the old hangers off and just replaced them with new hangers that fit the '04. No extra cost!

 

I've called Magnaflow a couple of times in the last month or so and spoken to Danny, who is always polite and helpful. Danny checked with their head engineer, who says that there are no IMMEDIATE plans to make a change. They have no scheduled date to have a car in there for fitment, therefore there's no ETA for a system for the '04 at this time. That doesn't mean there won't be one (I hope) just that it's not a priority.

This is as of about 2 weeks ago...I doubt anything's changed yet.

I wonder if it would help for a lot of different MCS owners to keep calling and politely pestering? Magnaflow's # is 800-990-0905.

In the meantime, I guess I'll have to do the same thing as Rocketpop and pay someone $$ to install the system and modify the hangers. Very disappointing, as I was planning on doing the install myself. :???:

 

Awesome, thanks guys. I am actually going to install the system myself with the help of a friend who owns a shop. I guess well just have to use the same trick that rocketpop used.
