Wow, thanks for all the info. Looks like I'll be buying some Genesis 380s in the near future. Did you guys notice any changes in fuel economy after installing the injectors+tune?

I want to get a tune as well but can't decide which one to get. Would you guys recommend dealer JCW tune, RMW tune, or WMW tune? I'm using the car as a DD right now and possibly track later on.

not knowing where your located..... its really depends what your looking for

JCW if your looking for a bit extra and to be able to put use of the 380cc... also if a dealer is willing to do it for you at a good cost....should make things nice and smooth

WMW/RMW if you plan on squeezing the most you can out of it.... through a dyno tune... remotely or in person..

WMW has a version of his quick tune... which is his version of a safe canned tune

EDIT: your in orange county? your best bet see JAN at RMW... and get some bigger injectors than the 380cc... maybe some 550cc and JAN can scale them and tune your car...
your close enough...

Im in the bay area norcal, and wish i wasnt so lazy to drive down or else i would of jumped on some 550cc and a rmw tune

A few different places. The key is knowing what cars they're used on from the factory. I posted up this info a few times, but here it is:

USDM and Euro 2005-2012 Volvo C30, C70, S40, V50, T5 Turbos only

2005-2009 Euro Spec Ford Focus ST 225 T5 Turbo

2007-2009 Euro Ford Mondeo T5 Turbo

Helix 380/450???

The top picture is the most common iteration of Genesis 380cc. If you go to different vendors, most picture those. Yes, the silver nozzle extend into the port, and O-rings seat on the fuel rail and manifold.

The two photos from Helix are a bit dated. The black & blue ones are Siemens 450's. The off-white ones are Genesis 380's. At one point, the Genesis 380's were that off-white color, not for long though. Do a good images search. Also, you can always call Scott at USRT. He's always willing to chat about this stuff.

I will MapQuest directions to your house (Yes, MapQuest... I'm that mad where I'll intentionally make myself lost or tardy) and punch you in the ********* in front of your loved ones, closest friends, and favorite Sunday School teacher, if you spend $325 on 4 of those injectors.

I kid, but seriously, the whole point of this thread is to cut out the middleman, and offer safe alternatives to the pricey bits others are selling, or outright expose the origin of these injectors folks are selling at a huge markup. In this case, Bosch 0280158117 IS the injector that Mynes and RMW sell. No guess work.

$325 http://www.revolutionmotorworks.com/...&product_id=11

OR

$180 ($45/each) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-NEW-0280158117-EV14-Ford-G302-Fuel-Injectors-/221277173942?pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item338525b8b6&vxp=mtr
Don't make me punch you in the *****, Sir.
Again, for the umpteenth time, the Mynes and RMW 550's are nothing more than OEM equipment for the 2007-2012 Ford Mustang GT500.

BigChill,
I got these injectors you sent me, The steel clips off the mini rail do not fit the injector body, Goggling and looking i found the steel clip need would be a ford type which is no problem, Just curious where you got these, I seen some simular fairly cheap,

Guess being a GM warranty tech, Mostly drivability I’ve got in the mindset that everything should fit perfect and look like it’s never been touched of it was designed that way

Got any more info on these Injectors?

[QUOTE=TheBigChill;3815823]DHA:
Grab the Genesis 415cc injectors for small port 1.8T. They will spray 440cc at 3.5bar, and have the correct size and pattern. I have a line on a set for $175 if you're interested.

Both shops are reputable. I'd call each shop and ask if they're actually in stock though.

I would strongly recommended you consider the Bosch 0280158096 units as well. I have two sets, and am installing mine this week sometime. Feel free to wait until mine are in for impressions. They're the newest tech from Bosch (EV14), this equating to better atomization and response, but you'll need connecting adapters. They're identical to JCW 380cc in static and dynamic flow, impedance, injector size, and spray pattern.

No worries. Get whatever you're most comfortable with. The Genesis units will work perfectly fine, too. I just like the idea of running the newest tech.

The adapters you'll need are called USCAR to Jetronic adapters, or sometimes called EV6 to EV1. The R53 MINI uses a Jetronic (EV1) connector on both the injector body and electrical harness. When you change to certain injectors, you now need an adapter between the injector and harness. It's as simple as plugging in an appliance, twice

Here is what I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171055357095...84.m1497.l2649

Adapters needed are EV1 to EV6 (like the ones in the link which say EV1---> MINI side to EV6----> injector side), do not EV6 to EV1(you'll get the wrong adapters). BTW I will have 7 of EV6 to EV1 adapters available if anybody needs them.... SMH .

Well, Sir, I bought the right ones ...

In all seriousness, you should just call and ask if you can exchange them. Shouldn't be an issue if they offer the correct adapters.

You guys are awesome and brilliant. I'm hoping to upgrade to 380cc injectors soon and was appalled by the prices. The wife might be more inclined to let me spend the money now! Haha. Thanks for doing the research and finding viable and affordable options for everyone! Kuddos.

Lol I solved the issue, I was joking around.

HOPEFULLY I will have this settled down during the weekend, and soon head to WMW, I'm 3 hours away, for a tune in November.
