IMO Yes. Do it at the same time. Get NGK 4285. They are 1 step colder. The main reason to use a colder plug is to fend off detonation. You won't see a power gain. Think of it as a safety gain.

No problem. The 4285 is BKR7EQUP make sure you use a torque wrench and tighten to 25-30nm (18-21.6 lbs/ft). The last thing you want is for them to blow out.

We always recommend new cooler plugs with the pulley change and a belt. Check out or WMW pulley package as it has exactly what you need.

Thanks also in about 4 months im going to have to drive cross country and was wondering if i should wait to do the 15% pulley until after i get there. Will it hurt to run the supercharger at highway speeds for that long. Thanks

No it won't hurt it. You will see better MPG if you can keep your foot out of it. It will be hard because the whine from the supercharger is intoxicating.

Trust me, you will have no issues. I drove from PA to Florida with zero issues. Yes it spins faster, but it is within safe limits and like I said you will see an increase in MPG.

IF you don't have one, get one of these http://www.scangauge.com/products/scangaugeii/
Then you monitor your engine on the whole trip. I and many others use this. It is easy to install and works great. It will even read and erase engine codes. Read the link and see all the things it can do.

The only time you need to worry about spinning the sc faster is at redline...and since most sane/responsible owners are not there for long, you should be find for sprited driving with an occasional redline pull....and since highway driving is about 3200-3500 rpm depending on speed, you are far from it on the highway.

I dont get where people are seeing mpg gains with pullies? In theory it should worsen because you are running closer to 0 vacuum contstantly, and also about 1/4 throttle will merit positive psi which fattens up the fuel trim? In simpler terms, the car is seeing a higher load more constantly, so it adds more fuel constantly?

If you drive normally it is very possible that you will NOT see any change or even get a slight INCREASE in the fuel economy. If you drive aggressively then you WILL see a DECREASE in the fuel economy.

Since superchargers are activated by your engines vacuum, your vehicle will feel mostly stock when you are not stepping down hard on your gas pedal. So normal driving your engine will feel Stock! Also since the engine belt system drives the supercharger, the supercharger will always be pushing air into the engine. This excess air will make the engine not work so hard to produce HP. This will make the overall efficiency of the engine better, which will help on your fuel economy.
Supercharger systems like the “Roots” and “twin-screw” type have a by pass valve that is built into the supercharger. This valve releases around 1psi of boost under normal driving conditions. This excess air that is getting forced into your engine helps virtually eliminates the normal parasitic power loss of a forced induction system. Which also makes your engine not work so hard to produce HP.

The constant increase in air is also demanding a constant increased amount of fuel. The engine sees more load constantly.

A 2 to 3mpg increase is not unusual under normal daily driving conditions. This gain can be attributed to the supercharger reducing the pumping loss of the engine. This loss can be better described as the vacuum force produced by the engine that is required to actually pull the air/fuel mixture into the cylinder. The supercharger helps this process by equalizing cylinder pressure and effectively helping to ‘push’ the piston to the bottom of the intake stroke, increasing engine efficiency

I DID see a slight increase in mpg (when i used a light foot) with a pulley....then MORE with a tune.
In therory you can debate this tons, but bram is right on...the gain was pretty small...like a couple tenths of a mpg, which could be from a million different things, from btu content if the fuel (less ethanol), maybe the act of being more careful with the right foot, who knows, but a GOOD RUNNING mini, that is properly matained, seems to run better (my guess leaming it out slightly, and we all run 92-92 (in the NE), so a bit of extra timing) and get slightly better mpg....tunes only make things better....and any issues that folks have, be it yo-yo's, pings, etc WILL BE WORSE with a pulley....in the end, the pulley is the best thing i have ever done to my mini, and 4+ years latrr, nor worries about the ORGIONAL sc.

It will not move any more air into the motor under vac because the bypass valve is open.
just put the pulley on. you will be fine.
Follow Ways Advice and do the belt and plugs.

You will be fine with stock plugs...just have them installed later.
Many folks ran stock plugs with a pully for a long time...the cooler plugs is a recommendation that devoloped after some folks in some warmer area sometimes could have a ping....since so many folks are in need of plugs, imo it makes sense to do them, and using the JCW spec plug eith a pulley makes sense!!

+1, you'll be just fine to change them when they come in, esp. this time of year, remember it's about heat, if you're worried just limit you WOT driving till then.
