Well, I will be graduating from college in the next month or so, and once things get settled, I will be getting a new car, and one option is a Mini. My questions are: What would you all recommend for performance mods? Also, where is the best place to purchase these items? If you guys wouldn't mind, I would REALLY appreciate a detailed list, as it will make things easier. Like I said, I really think a Mini would be a GREAT car for me, and I am looking forward to hearing what you all have to say!

Thanks much,
Brett

First off, welcome to the forum. The questions you.ve asked have been covered many times on here. You might find the info you're looking for by using the fine search engine this site is equipped with.

I'm not trying to blow you off. Rather, as mods are a matter of personal preference, you'll probably do better doing some extensive reading on these matters first. After you figure out which direction you want to go in, more concise answers came be given.

You need to narrow the search a bit.

MC or MCS?
New or used?
Have you driven one? If so, what do you find lacking?
Performance meaning power, or handling? Both?
Budget?

Without the basics above, not even a summary list can be created by a generous soul. A detailed list requires many more parameters.

While I agree that the best thing to do is get the car, and see what you think it needs. Other than that, I would start with an 'S' since you get the best mods by just buying that model, and you can wrap them all up in your financing. After that, see what is on the market that makes sense for you. At this point, it is widely acknowleged that the pulley modification produces the best bang for the buck, even without an intake or exhaust or chip! Non runflat tires are another favored route. Little money for big returns. Just my .02
