Drivetrain Aftermarket Tuning
#26
I'm not understanding this? If you want to tune the car just tune it. If you don't want to void warranty just wait. It doesn't make much financial sense to buy another ECU just to keep warranty.
Like trying to make a non S faster than an 'S'.....doesn't make sense and it's not worth the time or money.

I bought an S and made it faster then a JCW for less money. But if I was very wealthy I would have this stuff in my car http://www.motec.com/products/productoverview/

I'm sorry... been out of the loop for a while.
Is that because no one has broken into the ECU for an N18 yet or because you physically can't do it?
Kinda like when the R56 came out, it took 3 years for anyone to break the code to tune an R56. Is the N18 going through the same thing?
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Scott, Oscar was a 2009 so I haven't kept up with the new engines. I'm wondering why. I honestly don't remember seeing a bunch of engines torn up from people getting tunes.
Hmmmph.

Typical... what BS. If the epa is so concerned about the environment, how about removing the 1975 Chrysler spewing smoke as it drives down the road. Modifying the fuel mixture and changing the tune still has to work in the confinements of the O2 sensors which puts out emissions within a legal window.
BTW, one more post and you're at a 1000 mark...
