Drivetrain Milltek header cat replacement options
Milltek header cat replacement options
Hey gang,
I bought the Milltek header from a friend, but it has a blown cat. I'd like to use Milltek's original unit, but the replacement is a German piece and like $500. I say I'd like to use theirs as many have had luck with it not throwing a Check Engine Light, and I already dealt with that on the last header I tried, ended up in a trip to the dealer to clear a hard set code.
So, what options do I have (aside from putting a stock, slightly more restrictive cat) for swapping the cat out? Has anyone had to do this on an aftermarket header? I'll go the route of a o2 circuit if I need to, but I try to be legal (I know the first sensor is really what makes the difference, but still).
Thoughts, options, part numbers/prices all welcome. I know the Milltek unit is a 2.5 in/out and about 9.13 inches long/4.5" dia unit.
Thanks!
Jason
