Drivetrain Opinions on pulley pullers
Opinions on pulley pullers
Well, I have everything ready for my 15% pulley upgrade! Except for one of the most obvious things that I didn't think about until it was the last thing, the pulley puller.
The first question I have is probably going to be a quick no, as I see that many sell/buy pullers on the forums. But is the puller a tool that can be bought at a local autozone...etc? Or is the puller specific based on the size of the pulley, the limited space to work with...etc?
Second question, assuming the first question is a no. What brand do you guys feel is best and easiest to use?
Appreciate any and all (positive) feedback!
Thanks

No you cannot get the puller locally; I tried. The alta puller sucks, it started stripping its own threads when I did my install. Try the cravenspeed puller. You dont have to take off the tensioner if you use that puller, so I've heard.
Sorry you can't get them locally unless you a MINI shop near you. If you use anything but a MINI specific pulley puller you are likely to damage your supercharger.
This is the one we sell and it is the easiest to use.

You don't have to remove the belt tensioner to use it.
