Exhaust Depot DP

So after looking through old threads and reading about Hector at Exhaust Depot, I decided to shoot him an email seeing as he seemed to disappear from this forum.

I ordered his catless dp, and I must say, it is definitely one of the best things that can be done to these cars as many of you know.

The difference is night and day...and I haven't even tuned the car yet

It was $327 shipped if I remember correctly, which is a total steal compared to these other dp's on the market.

Of course I have a CEL(catless) but I don't really care, I know the reason for it and that little light doesn't trigger my OCD

So if there are any folks on here that are still interested in a DP catted/catless, consider Exhaust Depot. You'll get the same results as other DP's at a much cheaper price!

How does it sound? I'm running the stock exhaust system on my R56 but without the resonator and second cat.

I know someone else was running a similar set up w/ the Akra DP (with catless/resonatorless stock exhaust) and it sounded great. Just seeing what you thought!

I have it hooked up to an Invidia catback....as many have said on here, that thing just sounds insanely awesome with a catless DP. I'm lowering my MPG from constantly hammering it lol.

My set up is basically catless with one resonator on the catback. The Exhaust Depot DP has a faux-resonator on it....Hector explained to me he does that just to pass visual inspections and that its not an actual resonator. He did insure me that it does not rob power....just a visual thing.

Here's a link to the website with a picture on it.
The welds on mine are a bit different, but its basically the same piece.

It did take awhile to get, but the man has another job and he is the only one making these orders. It's pretty easy to get backed up with orders.

I'm not sure how to post videos but this is exactly what it sounds like!

I think this is ThumperGP's Mini.....only with a Riss catless DP

FYI-

I had ordered a DP from Exhaust Depot about a month ago and still don't have it. I contacted him a few times before receiving any response stating that he had run out of gas. That was a few weeks ago. The next day I got a UPS tracking # but to this day that item still has yet to be scanned by UPS, it's only been initiated. I filed a complaint with my CC.

Buyer beware

Oh wow, I hope that gets resolved for you.
My experience was completely satisfactory.

He even called me to see how I liked the DP.

I would mention to him that someone on NAM got there DP before you even though you placed the order first. I ordred mine on October 7th and got it Nov. 2.

What day did you place your order?
