Like most of the DP's for the MINI, you'll get a CEL.

Nice! Now if you could just get the guy to drive on the right side of the road, it'd be perfect!

What's involved in deleting the resonator - looks like a lot of people are picking up the Invidia and deleting the resonator. Does that mean they need to cut out the middle pipe and replace it with a straight pipe, or should the shop be able to just cut off the resonator?

You need to go to a shop and they will cut out the resonator and replace it with a straight pipe.

I did this and drove about 100yd before I turned around to have the shop put the resonator back on. The exhaust was embarrassingly loud without the resonator. It wasn't a good loud either, it reminded me of a 2001 Nissan Altima ricer with a giant fart canon on the rear. It sounded just terrible.

I have an Akrapovic DP so that may have been a small contributing factor in the volume and tone but I would never try the resonator delete without some other type of muffler replacing the OEM one.

Oh yeah that is the reason. I ended up replacing my resonator with a 12 inch one and got a nice balance.

Q300 with resonator delete...sounds so burbly. Here is my car on the dyno recently. Great sounding setup under load.
