Aem RIS vs. Ddm RIS intake

Hey everyone! Trying to decide which intake to get. I noticed that the AEM RAI is slightly less money than the DDM intake. I was wondering if there was a difference in quality or specs. Also, is can is use a strut bar with either? Any helpful response would be great! Sorry if this an old topic!

I've got the AEM and at the time I bought it, it was signifigantly cheaper that the DDM that is of similar design. I got an early edition of the AEM and they had some initial problems with the scoop that caused them to send me revised parts to correct the problems. They were GREAT to deal with and made sure that I was taken care of.

I don't think that there is any way a strut bar will fit over mine.

I'd go with the DDM intake. Not sure about the MSRPs of both now, but if money's tight, AEM.

I was very disappointed in my DDM intake. I wouldn't recommend getting one. I had quite a few problems. I don't believe they've changed anything to correct the problems in the year I've had it. With as many options as there are out for an intake why suffer a poor design when you don't have to?

I posted up my take on it in the review section- https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...uct/364/cat/22
