Whats up!
So i'm pretty new to the N18 engine. What are some ways you guys are raising the boost? Is the acces-port or a tune the only way? Just curious.
Thanks!

oh wait.. Just reading through that thread. If I have a 2012 JCW Roadster , is that the N-18?
I need to do some more research,.. but thanks for the information thus far!

You are running the N14-JCW variant...tried and true
Yeah that does seem like the best bang for the buck...I was planning on that anyway but I think I'll skip all the bolt-ons and just get the tune and a down pipe.
Do what ever you want, but until you replace the really small, inadequate, puny, intercooler it really doesn't matter how much power you make with a tune. After the first hard pull, your intake temps will get so high that the ECU will start pulling timing and will cut power. (heat soak)
No an intercooler doesn't make any power, but it sure allows you to make more power longer.

it really depends if your going to track it or not. on the street though, i never had any problems with stock. after i changed i didn't notcie any more power or power for longer. this is on the street though. i never tracked it.
I guess it depends on what you mean by street? I'm talking about country back roads. If you mean like stuck on the I405 or something, that's another matter.
