o2 sensors replacement and check engine light staying on

I replaced both o2 sensors in my 2006 s and the check engine light stays on .
I can reset and it will stay off until the car has cooled . I check with my ob2
tool and it says the o2 sensor . What am I doing wrong?

Did you use OEM sensors or did you source them from somewhere other than a dealer?

There are a lot of instances where the correct sensors do not work correctly unless they are OEM sourced. Why? I don't know and I have not seen an explanation. But I have seen the problem described more than once.

Sorry but the adaptation values have to be cleared using a factory MINI tool, just a OBD scanner can't do it.

If you bought aftermarket Bosch O2 sensors, they will plague you with engine code issues. You need the NTK OEM equivalent sensors. Read more here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-install.html.
