So my clutch went out a couple of days ago on my 2003 mini cooper non-s 5 speed and to avoid having to pay the $1200 i was quoted at for its repair, I decided to take on the project myself. I almost have the transmission out, but i have still not purchased a clutch. This brings me to the question this thread is about, does anyone have any recommendations for a new clutch. i have heard the valeo ones are pretty good, but decided to let some true mini cooper people recommend clutches. Also, does anyone have any flywheel recommendations or can it be resurfaced because i am assuming that is bad too.

No resurfacing of the stock flywheel. Valeo should be fine.
