Aquamist HFS-4

Got this in the mail today, pretty excited! I'm planning on installing it this weekend. Two problems though:
1. The only shop on the island that has methanol keeps running out...
2. Howerton and RMW work together to tune for this, however, Jan stopped tuning for the AccessPort.

I have the HFS-3 and the Alta AP, so I can feel your pain.

You might be able to get a remote tune using datalogs. I may try that if RMW doesn't make it to my town any time soon.

The HFS-4 looks great, I love the double tank.

Hey I think we can help you out, we do remote tuning as well as on site. We work exclusively with the Access port. If you have questions drop us a line

As a second source, you might try working with Jeff P. at Alta. He tells me he's using WMI on all his cars, and when I get my HFS-4 installed, let him know and he'll send a map with the needed changes. My advantage is that he did all the custom maps for me, so correcting for WMI should be relatively easy.

Most AP mappers lock their maps so nobody else can mess with them. If you're running a custom map, and not one of the "canned" maps that came with the AP, you'll probably need to either go back to the original tuner or start over.

Where did you get the Aquamist from? Looking for a US or Canadian supplier. Time for some water meth!

I got it through an Aquamist group buy last month, but it was shipped out through Howerton Engineering, who also supplied the tank setup. Jeff Howerton has been very helpful through my install, even though most of my questions had answers in the instructions, I just happened to overlook them... somehow. Anyway, check him out. First though, I would make sure there is a place in your area that can get you some methanol.

Lots of Methanol available locally. Quite a few turbo shops around.. I've also got some for the other turbo terror as well. Too bad I missed the group buy
