Well I took the 19% plunge today, all I can say is, I wish this had been available when I did the 15%, the car is so much more fun to drive, I haven't had reason to take it to the rev limiter as I always did with the 15%, the power band is nice and low, I feel like I need a 7th gear now

I also did the swaybar, set on the middle holes, I am king of off/on ramps, with DSC off, it's a lot easier to maintain my line through corners. The two mods go hand in hand. I just need some lighter wheels and tires and better brakes.

P.S. You should see JLM's car , his gauge pod setup would be a best seller if he put it on the market.

KUDOS TO HELIX!!

I think the car will do fine when it warms up, I'm running the IK22's to help dissipate the extra heat in the combustion chambers, I may go one colder if neccessary in the summer.

My current mods are:

19% RP
Magnaflow
Sway Bar
Madness Intake

The list will be a lot longer as time goes by

Lots of people have been running 19's south of the Mason/Dixon for a year. Heat is no big issue, you just lose a little power. Your mouth is just gonna dry up some day.

19% reduction pulleys are running just fine in Hawaii. Daily temps in the low 80s.
No reported problems due to heat. Just from the really low speed limits.
Some highway speed limits are actually 45 mph. I can ride my bicycle at that speed!
In May we will have a chance to track those 19% pulleys all day. Should be good.

x2board, what is your take on the 3000 rpm range transition? I've heard bluemcs describe it but I'm curious to hear another opinion.
Thanks.

The car is totally transformed, in 6th gear at 70mph on the highway (2800 RPM) I can quickly accelerate to 90+ without a down shift. I find myself reaching for the shifter in the wrong position, since 3rd now feels like second and 4th feels like 3rd. I made a few runs to redline, but with the new powerband, I see little need to go beyond 6000 RPM now.

I do want to make some mods to the Magnaflow, the exhaust feels a bit restrictive on the top end, I've been wanting to replace the "T" with a "Y" for some time now, a trip to the Brooklyn Navy Yard to visit a certain member here may make that happen, the trumpets may be history too.

X2, the majority of the exhaust restriction is in the exhaust valve itself, just to let you know before you go spend money and it gives you minimal gains.....

Caddman,

Thanks for the heads up, a head change is not yet on the Horizon for me, so I figured I would try to increase the exhaust flow by altering the tips, I hope I don't lose the sweet Magnaflow sound in the process. I'm going to focus on the suspension when I'm done with that, I can't believe what a difference the RDR bar had on the handling and I want more. So, H-Sport springs, light wheels, sticky non- runflat tires, beefier end links and adjustable rear arms are next . I wanted to do the Helix short shifter this time, but Eric was out of stock :???:

X2
