Quick sparkplug Questions?
Hello all, was wondering if someone knows the NGK# and stock number of the next colder plug for a 2004 MCS R53. Im sure this has been posted before but Im having no luck in finding the plugs. Also, is it okay to install the colder plug before I put the pulley in? While Im here I was thinking of changing the cap and wires. Ive heard many mixed signals on stock or aftermarket. Any input and help would be awesome. Thanks again.
With NGK, the numeral is the heat range - the higher the number, the colder the plug. So get one the next number higher.
MINI's do not have caps, they have distributorless ignitions. If you are referring to the coil, stock is just fine. Many people switch brands to get copper terminals, though.

I know my car comes with a BKR6EKUB, but my buddy at the Auto parts store says NGK doesent list a BKR7EKUB. Yes, I was thinking of the coil pack, thank you for the clarification. Is there a brand that sets the standards or a preference?
