Thanks very much for your explanation. It's tough taking care of all the things that come in to your shop when it is only you. Hopefully you will get all the fine tuning done to reduce problems. I'll be backing you 100%.

I've done many orders with Webbmotorsports and I still do highly recommend doing business for MINI upgrades with Randy.

I got my alta intake from Randy, it was a smooth transaction. 10,000 miles later I called him back to buy a cleaning kit for that same alta intake, his response was: I do sell the cleaning kit but is expensive and you could just buy the same thing at amotorcycle shop for half the price, get the stuff made for uni foam filters. I took his advice, he was right. A while ago when the milltek exhaust became the rage on this very forum I left a message on Randy's phone asking about it, 2 days ago he called back to give me the heads up with the milltek becoming available. I had just won an ebay auction for a fighter kit for my aprilia and had to take a pass but as soon as I'm ready I'll be calling Randy for a milltek header and catback. As far as I know Randy is a stand up guy, thanks Randy.

Let face it folks Randy aint Jesus or anything like what you make him out to be. Just because he bought many of you with cheap pulley installs doesn’t mean poo.

The point I think to this that Randy aka messiah, didn’t ship this poor lad his paid product for over a year! Simple as that. I for one bet Randy does a decent job like ALL vendors at answering questions and providing advise related to MINI products. Clearly this guy was forced to go online to resolve his issue which is inexcusable. Randy should have stepped up to the plate a year ago and either delivered the product or refunded his money. Not relied on old Grampy to ship a product to someone, maybe the dog ate Olav’s address? 81 years old, are you kidding? Maybe the bottom line is, can Randy stop the pulley party addiction and still feed the family and pay for a shop? Wait I mean the home garage?

Time will tell…. Until then I will worship the other MINI religions like ALLAH promini, MESIAH mania, BRIGHAM madness and DALHI LAMA 13

Randys A+, I always get really excited when I am ordering anything new, so I end up calling daily to track it. He never seemed to mind.

what bug got up your a$$? this is the third thread i've seen you post smack about webb motorsports and randy, and this INCLUDES your bad-mouthing people that support him or have positive experiences with him.

we don't think he's jesus or the messiah, so chill. How old are you anyway, 12? lets leave the immaturity off these boards...

we just appreciate vendors that take the time to give the special attention to us as he does. Its rare to see that nowadays. maybe if you have a similar experience with a vendor, you can sing that vendor's praises instead of slapping others. i've emailed other vendors, and even called a few. none took the time to explain things and help me with my setup as much (if at all for some of them) as randy. And i haven't even purchased anything from him!

if you have a personal problem with him, either post it or shutup about it. i can tell you that your negativity on this board is not appreciated.

Expensium might serve well as a binder to hold an aggregate of Nerds together. I'd imagine the resulting rough casting might come out of the mold looking like a Saturn block or head- textured like a styrofoam beer cooler!

The big problem I see with using Nerds as the base material for an uprated intercooler is that anyone who installs one of these will probably also go for the optional water spray bar to further augment the intake charge cooling...

Has anyone done any testing to see if dextrose is soluble in liquid CO2?

I will add my experience to say that there is always somebody that is never happy no matter how hard you try. I think Randy is everything he claims to be and the Miniacs should be delighted to have someone so honest and dedicated to their toys. His experiments with all of the "junk" out there in the mini world saves us TONS of money buying junk that does not perform as advertised. His advice is worth MONEY! My business dealings with him have been more than satisfactory.

Secondly, having had a shop dedicated to fabrication and selling of racing parts and accessories, I intentionally avoided doing ANYTHING for the Porsche community and clubs. It was never worth it. The old joke about porcupines and porsches is funny because of its basic truth.

Keep up the good work Randy. It is tough being small business and you do it well.

 

The donut thing is just too funny...lol. I have never dealt with Randy yet but it's clearly obvious to me he's a stand up guy who has helped numerous Mini owners. I have perfect feedback of 300+ plus on Ebay but I know theres some jackass right around the corner who's gonna screw that up sooner or later...It just can't be avoided...there is no shortage of *********s in the world these days...lol

 

I bought the following from Randy: Alta intake, Alta pulley and Evotech ecu (which he installed), Miltek exhaust and header, Alta 22mm rear sway bar, Kingsbourne plug wires, Pilo coil pack and Denso Iridium plugs. Everything was shipped in a timely manner. The Denso plugs were shipped inside the sway bar box. When it arrived there was a hole in the side of the box and the plugs were gone. I called Randy and he shipped me another set of plugs at no charge to me.
Randy has tested all these products (among others) and has recommended the ones that work the best. That is why he is most valuable to his cutomers. He's taken all the trial and error out of the equation. He is stretched thin and getting to speak to him can take time but it has been well worth the wait.
One more thought. Why do people find it so easy to post things on the forums they would never say to someone's face? Because they're cowards.

I don`t post much but sure do read a lot of helpfull things on this forum but this caught my attention and I wanted to comment .
I have met Mr. Randy Webb and his wonderfull family at the last Pulley party in Florida.I don`t even have a Mini yet (paid deposit on 2 though ) so was just hanging out .

Randy was indeed a very likable guy and his machanical skills were top notch as was his advise on many of the questions that were asked of him .Not even close to coming across as a rip off merchant. He aka. his company will certainly be seeing some of my hard earned $$ in the future .

Word, I second that, and having met him personally, he is a straight shooter...as well as a great driver. He tracked my IB MC last fall at our private track day, he taught me a ton about how to get the most out of it, and improve my line. Great all around guy and family man.

Randy, if you need a hand with things during the week, I am available, I only work weekends at the hospital, and i would love to lend a hand, and learn more about the cars as well.

I've never purchased anything from Randy and I've only spoken with him once in regards to some products. However, I have been reading this forum for over a year and I now have the utmost respect and trust for him. I have never seen a guy take so much time to help others out by sharing his knowledge and experiences. His how-to's have been extremely helpful and given people the courage to try things they might have not tried without them. His advice always seems honest and not necessarily guided by $$$, even though the skeptical one's might think so. Not to mention, I can't recall ever seeing anything negative posted "from" Randy, even though he 's had plenty of provoking threads/comments to deal with over the year I've been here.
That say's a lot for his character to me.

My thoughts on if he's spreading himself to thin by doing too much, well I don't have any comment's that I feel I should express. That's his business and his decisions to make. Not mine. I don't mind waiting a few days or weeks to get personalized customer service and honest advice.

 

randy gets very busy, oftentimes with his "other" website that is not as well known.

"Petite Patoot" is Randy's side-venture in re-selling used children's clothing - QUALITY used clothing mind you, but clothing nonetheless.

oftentimes, when you are so busy selling osh-kosh-b'goshes, you can get overrun with orders and might forget to ship a porsche seat here or there.

i think we should all forgive him and give him room to breathe in respect for what he's done for our pre-owned children's clothing market!

maybe, but i think the thread's starter had intended eyes for his post, and that audience is the one that reads the performance modifications thread. Edited by DiD: see the section on personal attacks.

Randy Webb specializes in performance modifications. most of his customers browse this forum. i think it was more of an exposure ploy than anything else. I only read this forum on NAM, don't read any others.... i'm sure a lot of others are the same way....

This is interesting... I suppose I don't even really need to post since everything's been said and said better than I ever could, but well... my personal experience with Randy has left me impressed with his skills as a tuner and his skills as a businessman. Does that mean that he doesn't make mistakes? Of course not. Admittedly, the situation in the original post is an unfortunate situation that I'm sure Randy is anxious to avoid happening again.

I've emailed Randy several times and not gotten replies. Some of the questions were important, so I had my minion give him a call and ALWAYS received prompt curteous replies.
