Oh, another question. Can't I just wrap a shorter belt right around the supercharger shaft and not even bother with a pulley? Quit *****-footing around and go for the 100% reduction!

Heck YES I would do it again. Zero problems. AWESOME POWER. On a scale of one to ten I would rate it a 12. Even if a 19% pulley install costs $5,000 dollars (of course it doesn't) it would STILL be worth EVERY PENNY.

Actually, I have had better luck with the 060539. With the 535, there is a bit too much tension on the belt, and it has failed on me at the track and on the street (2 belts) back when we were still testing the pullies. During this latest round of 19% testing with the Alta unit, I have used the 539, and haven't lost one yet.
You may want to use that one on future installs Tres - it is also available over the counter at NAPA .
Here is an issue with the intake temps - the ECU has a protection that enrichess the mixture if the intake temp exceeds I believe 78C. That means your A/F ratio goes to hell, and you lose power. An intercooler would be required to maintain your A/F ratio. I think the 15% will end up being a bit more efficient at the higher ambient temps. We'll have to wait for warmer weather and do some testing. Don't run out and buy an intercooler yet, because we don't know what the temps will look like just yet. More testing, woohoo!
