Howdy Folks,

I recently purchased a secondhand JCW Stage 1 Intake from a board member. I installed it on the car and took it for a spin. I was very happy with the throttle response in standard and sport mode. I also noticed a slight change in the sound of the engine. I am not sure if there were any real performance gains, but I can see the benefit to this new design over the stock box. With the stock box, the air is just dumped in with no real path to the panel filter. With the Stage 1 there is an internal tube which directs air flow to the cylindrical filter. A much better design imho.

Well worth it if you want an easy to install and a clean look in the engine compartment.

My next upgrade will be the Touring Sport Exhaust by Borla. Should be in next week.
