Apparently the oil dump into the intake issue has been addressed in a similar engine by Peugeot (the Mini N18 is a Peugot/Mini joint project).

If you put those caps on an N14 motor, you must put an Oil Catch Can on the other PVC line or all the crankcase gases will go through the turbocharger and intercooler.
