Where to connect vacuum hose for aftermarket air intake

Hey guys,

My car an 06 JCW came with an aftermarket air intake from the previous owner.

I know there was a vacuum hose that connected to the JCW airbox and with the aftermarket air box there is no where to connect it.

Where should this original vacuum line be connected to then? I really dont know what the previous owner did and I just recently found out about this vacuum hose, so I havent checked the car to see if there is a loose hose somewhere. I hope to do that later today.

If that hose is not connected would it not cause a vacuum leak and throw the ses light?

That hose was connected to a T that came off a hose on the Bypass valve. If the previous owner put in a Detroit tuned bypas valve he might not have cut the hose or placed a T in line. Or he might have closed off the T . You can look at the bypas valve from on top off engine and see if the hose has a T in it. If T not closed off it would probably throw a code.

Ok my car doesnt have ses light on so I assume the previous owner either capped off the T or removed it and connectedthe hose directly to the bypass valve.

I am going to check today after work, where exactly is this valve located?

It is on the right side of the engine when you are standing in front of the grill. Look sraight down beside the sc horn you will see a valve with a black plastic round attachment on it it is under the intake tubing going to the air cleaner. You can look on the Detroit tuned website and look at a picture of thier Bypass Valve this will give you a good idea as to what it looks like.

Thanks I think I found it and saw the hose with a cap on it, the cap looks pretty damaged, so good thing I spotted it now, thanks.
