Turbo back OBX exhaust =]

Haven't seen this one much on here. So I thought I'll inform people since I now have it. I purchased WITH SHIPPING for $440 brand new. 2.25" exhaust. Catless. Car is on AP stage 3 map. Runs perfect and tons faster now. Fitment was great! Sounds amazing too. Sound clip will be posted later this week. It's just a little loud for a taste. But now after a week I'm getting used to it.

That still looks sweet. Love the color/stripe set up on your mini. Reminds me of a late 90's viper when they came like that

Thanks man. With white mirrors, roof, wheels, and
Interior it looks goooood. Wish I had any MINI friends near where I lived. Everyone knocks the exhaust for being 2.25". But I bet it makes the same horsepower as 2.5. Maybe 2 horse less. But I paid $440!!! Can beat that lol

haha deffinatly not! and a 2.25 is a good size, although if you look at the dyno charts for a stage 3 tune from AP they recommend a 3" exhaust to get there results...that seems too big if you ask me. and ya i no what you mean. everyone with a mini by me is older and no fun :(

Actually Alta is a dual cat 3". So a Catless 2.25" could be close =]

I daily drive. I'm 20 years old. Boost tube is great. No downsides. And NM springs make the ride smoother and better handling at the same time. It's somehow stiffer but bouncier... Idk. But it's all around great! Then I got the hotchkis rear sway bar and handling improved so much. But ride got
Pretty stiff now.

I had the OBX catback on my r50 when I had it and loved the sound of it. This is tempting for the r56....but alas I have emissions to pass in CT

I just dont trust OBX products. Dont get me wrong it looks good on tour car, but they make their money by stealing designs from major companies.

They tried to do it Eurojet awhile back on a header they designed, well dumb@sses at the OBX mirrored it without realizing it required further Eurojet parts to use.

My 2.5" Catless DP was like $200 shipped and I am going to purchase the 2.5 CNT CB which makes me like $600 into my exhaust for something 2.5. I believe OEM piping is 2.34" so you went smaller than stock really.

And Atlas Stage 3 tune is designed for more exhaust flow that comes from the 3inch. I would run some logs and make sure you are running correctly.

Nice deal, I just dont support their business practices. I have also seen their manifolds crack and off fitment on many items. Luckily for you this had good fitment.

I feel you. But I looked all the welds over. Look great. Fitment was great. And I watched my AFR for a good hour. Everything looked really good. I'm happy with this decision. Don't get me wrong. I was nervous... But it doesn't leak or have any problems(yet). So I give it the thumbs up for an OBX product.
But trust me I don't mention the brand of the exhaust when I talk about my car LMAO

Oh and I measured all the stock piping. Never bigger on the outside diameter than 2.25". Some places were as small as 2". So it isn't a downgrade.

I'll take pictures with my Micrometer if you want proof. Idk why everyone says stock is bigger than 2.25. Its just a rumor running around.

I always thought the stock exhaust was 2.5" but I could be wrong. Does anybody know if it's wider on a JCW? I should have checked when I was underneath it this past weekend. I was considering this exhaust too but when I read it was 2.25", I didn't want to go down in size.

Nice looks good.

Even though its a knock-off....its a direct knock off of a Supersprint, and in your pics it looks like they did a good job. I will tell you, the little donut flex gasket WILL leak sooner or later. I had an OBX header on my R53 and although there were better headers out there....for the price it could not be beat.

Just tell people you have a Supersprint if they ask ;-)

Your DP is catless, I'm assuming you'll be getting CEL's then? Right now the main reason I wouldn't buy that DP is because I don't want the car to throw CEL's.. I've thought of this exhaust before - I can't wait to hear it, and I'd love to know what kind of power it makes.
