ahha, you're actually seeing it for yourself now that you have the tool to visualize it with Data Logging .

When we did the testing with Sprintex back in April 2011 and showed all these WOT logs on the lower IAT, critics called it Bull$h!t and said we 'doctored' the logs... we found that quite comical b/c the data was logged straight from the MINI's ecu.

It's great that Sprintex owners with FA can independently verify our test results

Actually I remembered that, that's what got me thinking about this, and since I finally changed my I/C , I could do as you said, test it for myself. Trust me I remember all the greif I got for doing nothing more than simply being excited for, and wanting to try a new product.

I'm finding exactly the same things, so far NONE of those supposed "issues" are issues, lol, the way I'm going, I'll be doing the "extended life" test too.

Yep, it's nice when you can test it yourself and be able to replicate the results for verification

Haha, we said that also in our old posts also, remember? LOL. Those overheating issues were irrelevant on the new Sprintex units. Critics were also bashing the new Spintex product on data that was extracted from the "OLD Sprintex test unit"...

While critics love to harp on the SOS (Same Of Stuff) and pick-nick at every little thing, innovative companies move forward and make things better.

Just look at how far FA53 has improved since we first lauched it two years ago... If people can only 'see' for themselves what's in their current XXX tune, and compared it to what FA can do with their tunes, they would be like Whoaa...

Time is of the essence, my friend

A Sprintex car in Greece just saw 280whp / 209tq, on a DynoJet......, that translates to between 315-320 on a DynoPack, now thats strong!

Car Mods:
-sprintex s5-210 64mm pulley
-TPR2R head
-1320 Cat cam
-Mynes V2 decat
-Gp intercooler
- Je reaised compression 9.3
-polished con rods and weight balanced
-weight balanced crank.
-aquamist HFS3 running 50/50 water/meth.

I know what mine's like, and I know I'm no where near that, with the age & wear on my motor, that's either Fun, Scary, or a little of both.

Just read this...

Its either the O-ring seals on the pump to block pice of aluminum, or you have the same issue with the coolant lines that most of us had. Both are a simple fix its just a pain to take everything back apart.

Just wanted to express my excitement about officially being part of this group of Sprintex owners!

Install will happen as soon as I get my coolant to stop playing in the same place as my oil. Its been a battle thus far, but it will hopefully be worked out shortly.

Sprintex installed and running

Hi, Finally got my issues adressed. Took about 5 days and 30 hours of work but I believe it is finished. To update. Received my Sprintex last friday. Started install on saturday and Sunday eve had all but bumper cover on and bleeding system. Coolant pouring out from pump area. Monday afternoon:Frustrated and without a car I put car in maintanence mode again . Once I could see the water pump It was apparent the coolant was leaking from the block to inlet seal. I removed the pump and made some calls. The fit of the o-ring the the block was very loose. I took the o-ring off of the old stock Eaton and it fit much tighter and made the seal. Once coolant wasn't freely leaking from this area it started leaking from the center of the pump. I called the new Sprintex USA guys in Oklahoma and they said they have had some bad water pumps and could relate to my near boiling over frustration. They gave me great customer service and sent a new water pump UPS RED and I had it the next afternoon. I had the car torn down again and ready for the pump to go in. It want in and sealed fine and thank God didn't leak anyplace. I have to say I was just adding the coolant again on the final setup and was distracted by my wife walking in. Coolant started pouring out the bottom of the car and I was getting ready to cry, until I realized it was coming out the upper radiator hose vent which I had left open. I had a real scare . I bled the system and started it up and all appears well. I will drive it easy for a couple of days and report how it is all going. I will say, I can get my Mini into Maint. Mode with my eyes closed now. Thanks for the phone calls I received and the helpful advice.

2005 mcs,Sprintex/64mm pulley,Craven CAI,Alta catback,MSD coil, GP intercooler/DDM diverter,JCW 380cc inj.,K-sport coil overs,H-sport 25mm rear bar,BSH catch can,Auto logic ecu tune,colder plugs, and some stuff I probably forgot, 205 whp before sprintex will dyno soon with Sprintex.

Finished up my 60mm tuning a few days ago, cars real strong, gonna be a few weeks till I get it on the dyno again though, working on another project that I want to have done before I spend the money, at $100.00 a pop, I want to take full advantage of my pulls.

I can tell you that I'm seeing constant boost levels of just over 19lbs from 5200 & up.

Update

Hi all,
Loving having my car back on the road. I like the feel of the Sprintex. The car pulls very smooth and strong. I haven't had the guts to really thrash it yet but it is coming. Overall, I like the kit with exception of the defective water pump,( Probably made in China)It appears very well made and engineered.
I cleaned my 50K eaton up and drained the gear oil from both ends, it was clean and all there. I refilled it with new and stored it. I can't decide to keep it or offer it for sale, Probably keep it as a possible replacement for my sons 140k 03 MCS which is sounding very loud to me.
I will be putting my car back on the same dyno that recorded 205whp/187tq numbers prior to the Sprintex install. Does the Sprintex actually need to Break in or seal better before it will produce full boost ? Any feedback on that would be appreciated. I read on one of these threads that is the case. I will schedule the dyno based on the feedback. I will post my dyno readings when I have them.

2005 MCS,Sprintex/64mm,Craven CAI, DT/PBV,GP I/C,DDM div.,Alta catback,MSD coil colder plugs,JCW 380cc inj.,BSH catch can,M-7 aero heat shield,M-7 strut brace,K-sport coilovers,H-sport 25mm rear bar, Megan shift shifter with Helix bottom,Auto logic ECU tune.

Yes I would wait for a bit, I don't remember exactly how long, but it does like a little break-in time.

Mine took about a week of railing on it. You will know when your boost goes up.

thrashing

Had the opportunity to take a 70 mile round trip drive on curvey back roads. Gave the Mini and the Sprintex a work out. So far with the 64mm pulley I am seeing less total boost than I saw with my stock Eaton . 12 lbs with Sprintex 15 lbs with stock. The big difference is the power seems more with less boost reading on the gauge. After 90 minute hard drive, opened the hood and in side horn of Intercooler hot,out horn of intercooler cold. With stock s/c both sides were too hot to touch after hard drive. I can see that the Sprintex produces a cooler more dense intake charge. That has to equate to the greater amount of power felt. I would still like to see 17-19lbs of boost and will ultimately switch to a 60mm pulley. Keeping it real and having fun!!!

Once it seals up good, you should be seeing mid. 17's with that pulley, the weekend's here, fill up the tank & go for it.

Sprintex sealing

Hi, can anyone explain how long it should take for a Sprintex to seal and produce the full potential ? I am curious how and what makes it seal . As said in my earlier post I was getting 15 lbs with the stock Eaton with 15% pulley and now 12 lbs with the new Sprintex using the 64mm Pulley.

Sprintex info

Hi , I am using the 56" belt they sent witht the 64mm pulley, the 70mm pulley came with a 56.250" belt. The tension guide gage was reading perfect. All the other pulleys are stock.

How are you getting your PSI reading? from the boost gauge or via the OBD 2 port?

Make sure you don't have a boost leak => check the IC Boot on the inlet horn (where the Sprintex horn meets the IC).. there are some sharp edges there that has cut thru and cause a leak. Any DTC codes associated with this low boost reading?

Sprintex

Thanks for the suggestions, I will carefully recheck all possible leak points. No codes have been thrown and car runs strong, just not getting amount of boost expected. The car has 50k miles and is in perfect order.
