Thanks for your support @CSP. We just got all the technical specs with all Gens of the Sprintex units (MINI, Jeep, Honda, FRS/BRZ, etc) and will be able to provide the vented filler plug to all models starting on July 8th

That's exactly the issue. I'm not worried about a couple mpg, but I'm worried about something being wrong.

Great tunes? At 21mpg I'd be looking into some stuff... That seems like something is wrong. Anything below 25mpg I'd be investigating unless you're beating the hell out of it everywhere you go.

But again, it's all about the tune, let's not forget, most of tuning is getting your performance parts to work as efficiently as possible, and efficiency = mpg.

HI, new to the forum here. I have a 05 R53 JCW. my SC needed a rebuild and decided to go Sprintex.. just installed the Sprintex SC a month ago...
She was much faster then before for a week or two then started having issues with throttle response I'm still working out bugs since..
Pretty much stock besides doing the VGS and K&N filter, and airbox flap mods.

HI CSP, great to be back here. I started another thread (under 1st gen problems(I think)asking for help. didn't want to hijack this one, but basically I don't have throttle/power in the higher RPM range 3k+. car ran great for a few weeks after SC install, then started getting various codes and DSC light, going into limp mode, changed Map/TMap sensors, Bypass valve, checked for vacuum leaks, No codes currently but just seems like the pedal becomes unresponsive, builds boost and engine revs but nothing or wait then power kicks in and goes out again. Changed the harmonic balancer today thinking it separated but still the same symptoms and no codes

What do the plugs look like? And are the stock plugs....
I have a mild Mini, JFE - Just fast enough.
The Sprintex was a big improvement. And the fuel mileage did go up. The stock plugs don't last more than a couple K. They don't look terrible but if you compare them with an iridium plug, same mileage, the color is different. The 2002 - 2004, cars, many have a flat spot at 3000rpms - JCW 380s with colder plugs took the flat spot out of my car - I also have a Cosworth head. The flat spot could have been exaggerated with the new SC - The duty cycle of the stock injectors could be at their limit - this would happen after and during some hard driving... You could get an SEL.

If anyone with a Sprintex needs a tensioner, I am the one who purchased this one without doing all my research first and found that it was not an upgrade for the stock charger and the company says it does NOT WORK with the stock supercharger.
I'm looking to sell it for the same price I paid if anyone is interested.

Thanks,

New to this thread, just put the Sprintex on my 2005 MINI and now have put 230 miles on it. So far so good, only issue is the belt tensioner is noisy, clacky until it gets warmed up, I'm guessing the piston needs to get set in after sitting over night, so I purchased the one from Byte Tronik since it has the OE style that works, just replacing the dampener bushings to power flex because I go through those like crazy... So many pages on this thread so its hard to read all of it but is anyone else having tensioner issues with the one from Sprintex being noisy? Not a belt slip noise but clacky. My belts are fine, haven't slipped once and I'm chirping into 2nd gear, on a stock clutch with 119,000 miles even... That car rips now. I don't whomp on her all the time, I take it pretty easy but every once in awhile I'll let her eat Oh and I'm throwing a Lean Bank 1 code, is that an issue that can be fixed with a tuning? I'm running new 550 injectors from RMW, new fuel filter and new fuel pump. It's always thrown that code off and on but now I figure this thing is sucking in WAY more air and I need to fix this before I cook something. Any input would be great, thanks! Oh also it was tuned about 8 years ago by Mynes Tune and that's when the code started coming up so I don't know if it was tune issue or just a coincidence.
