you forget that with more power from the same pedal push - you'll be pushing the pedal less under normal driving.
Possibly, but that's directly related to how the driver thinks and reacts. Not related to how the engine operates. With more power available at the foot, it could also mean he/she would push it more often because they enjoy it more.
and how is that the "fault" of the intake? If the drivers CHOOSES to drive more aggressively it is 100% the fault of the driver for the decrease in mpg.
Just installed the nm torque arm insert! They are awesome! I'm waiting on my craven speed short shift kit! Ups lost it. But I had one on my r53 amazing mod! Also I'm putting in the DoS intake. Heard to many good things and not one bad thing to pass it up!
Haha you talked me into it! I'm going to have the smileys when I get my CAI and SSK on! that's awesome that you got the fmic going on soon that will be me next that or a cat back
Hmmmm, Don't remember having to go advanced to get smileys... Well.....
My plan is to wait for Alta to get off their asses (all three of them. HEAR me ALTA! Jerry from Savannah says to get on it!) and get the Access Port working for the 2011 MCS and then I will buy one and then go turboback (maybe yours ALTA!).

you are talking emotion and I am talking science.
you got that part right.
I never said the intake was at fault. You're confusing yourself. I'm talking science as well. Did you not read the part where the intake can adversely affect gas mileage by the way it operates. Nothing was related to the emotion of a human being ... unless cars have emotions. Maybe you've been watching too much of cars 2 lately.
How do you like the nokya hyper lights. Been looking for a light solution that doesn't require mounting and wiring.
I love the look of the yellow. Very bright. Hard to tell through pictures. But there awesome. I Also gave the super white ones for the head light. I think that's the name. There alright. A little to blue for me but they look pretty cool.
And Jerry I don't ever remember having to go to the advanced for it either. Must be something going on

Here is some pics of the PIAA 2500k set i installed over the weekend. The Nokya's are cheaper though if you don't want to spend the 70-80 for PIAA. I'm not sure if I've seen the Nokya on a mini before.

There is some kind of disconnect going on here.
I am saying the intake does NOT adversely affect mileage. <= that is a period at the end.
Peoples drivings habits have a strong influence on gas mileage.
So what if the car can make more power? You do not have to use that power - therefore you do not have to hurt your mileage.
