Those with the 2011 NM heat shield, did you have any issues with the hex standoff studs not fitting the threaded ears on the head?

I did!
To the point that I returned it back to the vendor... After using and installing previous version on my 2008 Clubman "S", I found this one really poor fit.
I have to say that new plastic engine cover looks cheap and fits flimsy on the top and made impossible to mount studs properly.

BTW, what is the original purpose of "threaded ears" on the head?
