Drivetrain Another Pulley Thread, SORRY!
My advice would be to get your MINI running properly & checked out before adding a pulley. At 98K it is most likely OK, but you'll want to be sure before putting more load on it. I've been running a 15% pulley for about 90K. So far so good.
Starting to pull good at 3000+ is pretty normal...
the airflow is cooling the ic....and the motor gets into it's tourque band...below 3000 the ta is kinda limited....a tune helps a bit..

Great post!
I've been researching the ALTA 17% reduction and 15% reduction pulley. Seems like an easy mod but knowing about the revs and ideally switching to the JCW spark plugs is a good FYI to know.
What are the "good to know" items about supercharger pulleys and "should definitely have done/upgraded" so you don't damage the car bits of info??
Thanks!

15% is popular, but since I don't live at red-line, I went for the 17%. it can be harmful if this is a pure track/autocross toy, but for the daily driver, with occasional run to red-line, I found it was a perfect match.
That said, it really became a huge difference after a tune...
