I have a custom header with de-cat just installed last week. After the installation, my engine light in on all the time. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Does it affect my car performance?

 

The car needs a cat to run properly. You can use an 02 simulator to dummy it up thou.

 

I just put a new header on my car over the weekend. I have the same problem. Longborad sorry i haven't herd about what you speek of... can you go in to detail on this a little bit?

 

also, Im running what i think is a mini madness header with the hollowed out milltek cat. Im not sure exactly what it is. All i know is that it came off of Brian Blacks old R53 and i havent found a way to contact Brian to find out more about this header. All i know is it sounds, and performs AMAZING! Ill live with the Check engine light as long as it goes a way when i swap to the factory for emmissions.
