Boosted_Mini's Bored At Work Build Thread:

So today i bought my car exactly 60 days or 2 months ago. This is my thread to show my build progress of the mini and how it is transforming slowly but surely to a little speed demon / track ****.

Well I bought the car at 50k miles, 100% stock, has all the packages and ipod connection, etc. She is a blast. Lets begin:

Stock:

Then came tint: 20% Front, 5% Rear

Next was the Alta Hot Side Boost Tube:

Removed:

Added:

Then I removed the retarded stock antenna and went with the Alta Shorty

After I wanted a little more go fast so I did the Alta CAI:

Cai was nice, but I wanted to get more done, so I came across a nice Alta FMIC for sale. Also the "IHASTURBO" europlate was ready for retirement after being on my MKV GTi so we got something that fits MINI's perfect "CHIKMAGNT".

That was fun and loved the sounds of the CAI but now I wanted to add some grunt to the MINIs exhaust tone, I found a Riss Racing Catless DP and installed it:

Look at that gnarly stocker and the weak stock FMIC:

The nice new Riss Racing DP:

Then I noticed some more useless charge piping under the hood:

Like lolwut? So that had to go next with the NM Air Charge Pipe:

Here is my car as it sits today:

Now I have the Alta Turbo Inlet in the mail. Next will be a tune and catback. Then I will move to suspension and tires and wheels. I must say in the two months I have owned this car I have fallen in love with it. Car will be getting a JCW turbo or ALTAs turbo or the stock turbo is getting larger wheels. Still up in the air on who i want to tune my car.

Sounds clips:

Stock + CAI:

CAI + DP + everything else:

Hope you secured that license plate on your dash. I've seen some pretty nasty injuries resulting from objects placed on the dash after an accident.

Other than that, looks good!

Nice!

IMO you should put the grille back on over the FMIC, that just doesn't look good on a MINI. Not to mention the rocks that are going to destroy it.

The grill was actually cut/sanded to allow that opening. I would have to disagree on looking good, if you have a big FMIC showing it off is half the fun of owning it. A lot of kids in the car community are confused when they see a mini with a front mount.

But I am looking at the M7 grille sets for my car instead. The honeycomb stock ones are kinda gay.
