Drivetrain Body Motion?
My MCS is currently there getting work done to it. I have known the owner, Mike Bavaro for many years. He did plenty of custom work to my Porsches and ALWAYS stands behind his work. Mike has and still does race Prosches. Cuerrently, he is also racing a MINI. When I found out that he is into MINI, I was extremly glad. He has done a lot of work for Tony Nuzzo, who also races MINI's. Mike is a good guy. He is extremly knowledgable and does nothing but the BEST work. I recently had a tour of his shop. There were approximatly 15 Porsches, 2 Corvettes, 1 Mercedes and THREE racing MINI's! He just picked up his NEW MCS this past Friday. I know this because I was at his shop this past Saturday dropping off my MCS, when he drove in. He brings a-lot of racing experience from the Porsches. As a matter of fact, I will NOT return to my dealership, Princeton MINI for ANYTHING, I will have Mike do all my work on the car.
When you call there, you will get Ace. Mike is always there, but most of the time, in the shop. Mike is there on Saturday Mornings. However, if you e-mail him.....he will respond to you promptly. I was waiting until I got my MINI back this Saturday to post and let everyone know how it was. I am having MINI lowered, he is installing springs and camber plates. He also is fitting Kosei racing wheels......which I bought from Tony Nuzzo, who was selling them through Mike, with Yoko's Av ES 100's. He also is fitting the factory rockers and painting all the black trim and the rockers the same color as the rest of my car. Mike is also a Tire Rack dealer and installer!! I have no problem at all having him do ANY kind of work on my cars. He is trustworthy and a fair businessman. I can only give them the highest recommendation possible.
Where are you located? If you are near by, you can stop in and check it out. He also has plenty of Pics of all cars he has worked on including the Ferrari's. His racing 911 is currently on the showroom floor. He's going to race it at Sebring and then sell it. If you go there or have work done there, you will not be disappointed.

Wow, I can't believe someone here has not only heard of BodyMotion, but is also having work done by them on their MINI.
I live and work a few miles from BodyMotion in Ocean Twp, NJ -- drive by the place almost every day -- and was always curious if they did any work on MINIs, as they're well known as THE place to go for Porsche work...there are always a few Porsches out in the lot in front of the shop.
Anyway...back in July when I had a problem with a pair of magnetic bonnet stripes that had "etched" white streaks into my pristine Jet Black MINI, the first thing I did was email BodyMotion to see if they would repaint my bonnet and also paint on silver metallic stripes, with thin red borders (wouldn't that look awesome?!). Yes, I wanted to actually have stripes PAINTED on...I mean, why not? So the response I received was "sure, we can paint stripes on your MINI..." and the price they quoted was VERY GOOD...very enticing.
However, to make a long story longer, I contacted the Zaino Brothers, and they knew exactly how to remove the nasty marks left by the magnetic stripes...and it only set me back about $12.00 (for a bottle of 3M Swirl Remover for Dark Cars). Relieved that my Jet Black MINI bonnet was as pristine as it was BEFORE the magnetic stripes damaged my bonnet, I never did follow up with BodyMotion on having permanent (well, no paint job is permanent!) stripes painted on by them...
But if they are MINI owners themselves, I'm sure they'll take pride in their work and workmanship on fellow MINI owner's cars.
Hey D.D., do you live around here (Monmouth County area)? I've prolly seen your MINI around...are you the owner of a liquid yellow MCS JCW? I see it parked at the Monmouth Mall frequently. Also, you say you have BodyMotion do ALL your MINI work...does that include oil changes? Or do you do them yourself? I'm not sure I want to drive to Princeton and lose a day of work all for an oil change...
Rock On,
Mighty Boognish
(aka: Joe)
Hey Mighty_Boognish.....I live in Island Heights about 25 miles from Bodymotion. I have a MCS DS/W with Silver checkerboard sunroof. Yes....Mike will do the oil changes for you. I do all my own oil changes on my cars because it's just more convienent. If I lived closer to Bodymotion.....I would go there. As a matter of fact, Mike said he would do an oil change on my lunch hour if I needed one! He also does Borla Street, Race and Supersprint Exhausts, as well as a host of other mods. However, there is NO limit what he will do for you. He does all his own head boring there as well as all the testing of the products. As when I has work done on my Porshes, he was excellent on making sure it was right and the way I wanted things done. I only wish I was closer. However, it will not deter me at all. Custom work done to the highest standards!!

That's the first infinitely adjustable rear swaybar I've seen for the MINI.

I thought Mania has offered one with that type of adjustability for quite a while... Right or wrong, many, including myself, were not so keen on it staying set in the prescribed positon though. And I'm not a fan of those locking collars also...
