Have you ever had your engine overheat? How much does a performance radiator for the S cost?

I have a pulley, air-intake,exhaust & an ECU remap..... and my MCS has never overheated.

As far as the performance radiator ... please visit one of our tuner sponsors and they'll be able to help you out
http://www.webbmotorsports.com/index.php is a good place to start

Peace,
D

I imagine a performance radiator would keep engine temp. down, but if your car is actually overheating, there is likely a problem other than engine mods. Coolant reservoir leaking? In other words, I wouldn't assume the car is overheating because of additional horsepower. Running a little hotter, maybe...good luck.

I've had the pulley since last February (15,000 miles ago) and haven't had any cooling problems (other than the leaky coolant tank that seems to plague all MCS). According to my digital water temp gauge, even in 100F heat and fast driving in the summer, my coolant rarely hit 215 F, and when it did, the fan kicked on and lowered temps in a jiffy.

I don't think his engine has overheated. I think he's just asking if it is a concern.

Currently running 19% pulley, intake, exhaust - no problems.

Ran above with 15% pulley during the summer. No problems.

What might be more of a concern are the oil temperatures when running this engine hard. What do you guys think?

Hey.....

I am currently testing our new oil cooler at a test lab, comparing flow, cooling and pressure drop compared
to stock unit which is terribly constrictive both in cooling and flow. I will have graphs charts and other goodies
to show by next week. The M7 unit is water cooled and will be a bolt on replacement unit, I will also have an
Accusump interface for even better oiling capacity.

Now an oil cooler sounds like a great product. Not just for hard driving, either. The MCS runs very low oil pressure at idle and low speeds when hot. Keeping the oil cooler would be very beneficial I would think.

there is an optimum oii temp and synthetics are designed to run hot; does the M7 unit have the ability to maintain temp without over cooling?
