I've finally collected all the pieces for my gauge install. The SPA gauge I'm installing has two 4 pin connectors that I need to fish through the firewall. Those of you that have installed boost gauges and other gauges (or just fished something through the firewall) I need some advice:
Is the best place to go through the firewall at the thick rubber piece above the pedals and behind the brake vacuum reservoir, where a large red cable and a wire bundle pass through? Do you think I can fit the ~1/4 inch connectors for the sensors through this piece?

BTW, here's what I'm installing: SPA Dual oil pressure/oil temp gauge, autometer boost gauge, ALTA gauge pod, Intercomp lap timer. I'm tapping a hole in the oil filter canister for the temp gauge. I ordered a fitting from BMP to go where the oil pressure switch is, I'll run a braided hose up a foot or so from that and remote mount the pressure gauge sensor on another fitting. I'll take pics as I go and try to create a some semblance of an install FAQ.

that is where you will want to run through the fire wall. that is where mini has the rally lights run through. good luck, photo's when done!!!
