Supercharger noise / Remove and replace DIY?

I recently experience noise coming from the engine bay. It sounded like a bad bearing and what I was hoping to not be the supercharger. Just removed the belt and all pulley spins freely without any noise except the supercharger pulley. The supercharger pulley is hard to turn and is making noise. The car have Craven 15% pulley and have 115k miles on it now.

Does anyone have a DIY link to remove and replace the supercharger? Also, are there such rebuild kit made for the mini's supercharger? I am still deciding to buy a used supercharger or get it rebuilt.

Who does rebuild service?

The pulley on my supercharger made noise when it was turned (when it was upgraded). Sounded like the pulley shaft rubbing against the seal. Never made any additional sound when idle (all superchargers make a small amount of sound at idle, but I am sure you are hearing more than that). Before you assume that's what the sound is coming from, get a mechanic's stethoscope and place it against several areas on the engine. You can find them for just a few dollars at Advance or Autozone. The sound could be coming from the water pump, which is bolted to the back of the supercharger.

If you do find the supercharger does need to be rebuilt, I recommend Stiegemeyer (http://www.stiegemeier.com/pricing.html). Pricing starts at $300, and a full rebuild is $900.

Thanks for the info. I am pretty sure the noise coming from the supercharger is not normal. The sound is VERY loud and I have to put a lot of effort into just turning the supercharger pulley. The sound is loud even at idle. Every time I turn the supercharger pulley, it sounds like there are marbles in a can.

I will also check out the water pump. I am planning to start taking apart the supercharger tomorrow and I am hoping to find some pictured documentation or DIY online to help me out.
