What up everyone,
Ive been contemplating whether or not i should get some nitrous in my '02 MC.
I just dont know whether its a good idea or not, engine-wear-wise.
If so, what would be a safe size solenoid to get?
I dont want to bust my engine, just some more 'oompf'

any advice/opinions welcome,

thanks in advance,

peter

I'm running the M7 Venom 1000 and it is awesome, and I don't mean maybe.
I use it very judiciously. If you hit the go juice often be prepared to spend a lot of $$ on refilling the bottle. But, I don't do drugs, don't smoke, and drink wisely so I feed my MINI vice instead

If you're planning on holding on to your MINI for a while I'd say stay away from the nitrous. Anything that "shocks" the motor with instant hp can't be good for it in the long term. If the MINI is only in your plans for a couple years, then it probably wouldn't matter, as long as you use it sanely.

It will, more than likely, affect the resale value of the car, though.....and not in a good way.

CCM,
your running the M7 on an MCS right? are the S internals stronger than the ones of a regular cooper?
would the M7 simply blow up my engine (tranny is another concern)?
i was thinking of simply getting a ZEX or NOS system with a 60shot through the air intake. but how much is the M7 going for?
ideas? opinions?

thanks again,
peter

13 Sec Mini has run a 50 shot (with fogger nozzle) on his MCS since he got it and not encountered any problems. I believe he is running a NOS system.

Hi pmilla.....

Here's an explanation to why the M7 system is not only made for the Mini, but also why it's the only system on the market that will prevent lean conditions when leaning on the "Juice".
Secondly do not run a 60hp squeeze it will go in to a very lean condition(can you say hole in the piston)

here's the link. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ic=19682&2

Hey...will that bottle fit between the two front seats??? That way, I could use it as an arm rest and the valve readily available

Peter,
i am very interested in your M7 kit.
how much is it going for? can i order directly through you?
also, how difficult is the install?
and last but not least, is there any other place to put the bottle instead of the trunk and therefore sacrifice precious trunk space?

haha, i like MSFITOY's idea

anyways, peter, i will contact you before the weekend to see if we can do this (price is one of my biggest concerns right now...)

thanks alot to everybody,

peter

oh before i forget,
peter, is it possible to buy the kit from you without the bottle?
i was hoping to find a smaller bottle and mount it somewhere else (we all know how limited out trunk space is... and i do use it)

thanks again,
peter

I'm one of those who thinks NOS is kinda cheating... hard on the engine if not used right, but it serves its purpose. I think its more suited for true street racers, Minis are more for the handling. Mine will be faster through non-NOS mods.

I will agree that NOS is suited for street racers. Go straight very very fast and stop before you hit something. The Mini is a car that is build to hug the conners and if properly setup & driven it can out handle any land rocket on the roads. I don't think NOS is cheating, but more as the easy way out. I think that you could NOS like performance with proper setup.

Cheers

Hi pmilla...

Sure you could install it your self, it comes with an excellent manual and wire diagram + the super excellent
technical help line "Me" but the trunk would be my first choice.

The kit commes with a bottle, but call me and we work something out.

Can you buy from me........YES!
