Just to let you guys know, I purchased my Borla Race exhaust through Flowfaster.com without the group buy last week, and it was the exact same price. ($620) shipped. So I am kind of confused since the group buy price is the same as if you just bought it through them normally.

When I have been involved with group buys in the past they list target points to reduce the price another level. Maybe if they get 6 it will drop?

Thanks guys for pointing that out. I emailed Jeremy to clarify and it turns out, I was wrong.

The group buy is for $600 including shipping--not $620. Also, it was for 5 in addition to mine--not 5 including mine. So I apologize for giving the wrong information, but on the good side, those who have signed up just got it $20 cheaper.

This deal just keeps getting better. Only a few more to go..........................

Damn I could have saved $20 if only I waited one day to place my order, oh well. I got the exhaust today and am going to install it this weekend, so I'll let you guys know how it went. $600 shipped is an awesome deal!

Cheers, Ryan

I don't wish to take the steam out of this group buy...

I've been cooresponding with a borla supplier that might <stressed might> be able to go cheaper than your group price, at an individual level. As soon as I get the rest of the details, I'll drop another post.

(Basically, I'm saying "Whoa, hold up a minute..." in the interest of a potentially larger savings.)

I don't think you should be posting information like this unless you know something for sure. You may cause people to delay and miss out, or stall the buy for those who are happy with the price or even worse, ruin future chances of group buys for everyone. The price of $600 is "well" below any advertised price for this exhaust and equal to the lowest price posted during a group buy. I'm happy with the price, but I'm also all for savings. However, if you turn out to be wrong, then you may have blown a good deal for some of us and then what?

$600 Shipped?... Jump on that. I bought my Borla Race several months ago on a group buy for $575 without shipping... cost me $610 Shipped. Great deal.

JBOO,
goin440 isn't ruining the deal for anybody. He did the right thing. As adults, it's up the members of the group by to decide for themselves whether or not they want to proceed or wait for more information. I would just expect goin440 do let us know one way or the other.

Got more info.... =

Sorry for the delay I may have caused. Your group purchase at $600 sounds VERY hard to beat. I hope more people jump in on it. Godspeed.

Let's agree to disagree on this one fueled.

If the buy stalled, or was cancelled or if some of those "adults" delayed and missed out on their opportunity (because there's only 5 available), then yes, he would have ruined the deal for some people. My point was only that he should have waited until he was sure to post. As it turns out, he would only have to waited 24 hours and not needed to post at all. BTW, thanks goin440 for posting a followup. No harm done. ( I don't think)

Now let's get the rest of these exhaust spoken for.......................

Yeah, 5 purchased and I believe, according to Jeremy at Flowfaster, he was going to go ahead and ship out those purchased instead of waiting like some vendors do to fill the complete group buy. this guy is all about making the customer happy....

I just installed mine, and the answer is yes. Everything needed to install comes in the box minus the tools. I suggest you get a giant channel lock plier if you install it yourself. I think that it would have been impossible to do without it. I used a 16" channel lock plier.

Apparently one person has backed out, so as it stands, there have been 3 shipped out and there are 2 left for immediate shipment.

For those of you sitting on the fence, you are going to have a hard time beating this price, unless you buy used. For the small $$$ you might save, I would prefer to have a vendor to deal with if you were to ever need a warranty claim.

So if you're thinking of waiting, you might want to act now. It's doubtful this price will ever be offered again. It's just too low. We've already seen that it couldn't be beaten earlier in this thread, so I don't expect to see anything lower, until all the exhausts drop in price. Of course, we've been waiting on that for years now.

For those who have already purchased. Congrats and let us know when you're up and running.

Does anyone have any sound clips of the Borla Race & Alta exhausts. I would appreciate hearing them before I make a decision

http://www.outmotoring.com has a sound clip of the Alta exhaust system. Look under "speed", scroll down to exhausts and select the Alta system. There are two sound clips under "how we did it."
