Drivetrain Ported Supercharger
Ported Supercharger
I'm about to order one from WMW (great customer service by the way).
I was wondering if anyone has one or knows if it produces any performance gains. I'll also be ordering a 15% pulley from them!
thanks for the help guys

I read somewhere that people have seen 15 hp increases but i find this veryyyy hard to believe. Its strange nobody seems to know though, I even asked the guy at WMW and he said hes never seen a dyno for it..
Did that, he said no one has dyno'd it individually that he knows of. the only reason im curious is because I know it does actually provide significant increases on big v8's. (not that our little engines are even close)
There is power to gain. Increasing the efficiency of even the output on the supercharger would lead to at least a few hp. I don't know the full extent companies like endyn have gone to on the inside or inlet of the supercharger. IIRC I read M7 did some work on this a while back (old thread). Maybe Randy has some info.
The question is rather is it worth the effort.

I do believe there to be gains in the ported supercharger. But no one has dyno'd their car, then same day swapped the supercharger ONLY, then redyno to see the gains. That is the only honest way to test the gain of a ported supercharger only. So I won't lie and give people a hp number just to sell it. But when I've installed it I can say it makes a little more noise, and feels a little smoother. It's not a 15hp gain, but there is gain there. We are really selling this as a do it while your replacing the supercharger, not do this to gain power. Cause we all know the supercharger is going to die, but why not upgrade when we replace it.

+1...no BS
I'll go this route when my supercharger fails. Thomas let us know your thoughts when you get yours installed. I would like more info. on this.
When the front end of my supercharger needed to be rebuilt last year, I thought I'd spend a little extra money while it was disassembled and have it ported. Based on the results, like WMW said, I wouldn't spend the money just to have it ported. I really want to believe that it gave me more power especially after spending the money to have it done, but if it did, it wasn't that noticable.

Hello From The Gulf "area"!!
1st time on the internet for awhile. I have ported ENDYN SC (since mentioned earlier post). I have quite a bit other odds and ends, but I ended up with 270hp at the wheels (and not on Jan's dyno by the way). Don't have any idea how much is from that, and how much is from other things, but I'm sure it didn't hurt...
